Why make something new?

In a society where importance is placed on innovation maintenance becomes further neglected. This project was a way to emphasize this often thankless job that is modest by virtue and essential to our daily lives. Here, by piecing recycled woods and replacing the lost limbs of these discarded chairs I wanted to emphasize the act of support.
